By accessing and using AkiliStay ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

AkiliStay is an online platform that connects property owners (Partners) with individuals seeking accommodation (Users). We facilitate the listing, discovery, and booking of short-term rentals, long-term rentals, and student hostels in Ghana.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Partner Responsibilities

Partners agree to:

  • Provide accurate property descriptions and images
  • Maintain properties in safe and habitable condition
  • Honor confirmed bookings
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respond to booking requests in a timely manner

5. User Responsibilities

Users agree to:

  • Use properties responsibly and respectfully
  • Comply with property rules set by Partners
  • Make payments as agreed
  • Report any issues or damages promptly

6. Payments and Fees

All payments are processed through Paystack. AkiliStay charges a service fee for each booking. Cancellation and refund policies vary by property and are displayed at the time of booking.

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies are set by individual Partners and displayed on property listings. Users should review these policies before making a booking.

8. Limitation of Liability

AkiliStay acts as an intermediary between Partners and Users. We are not responsible for:

  • The condition or accuracy of property listings
  • Actions or omissions of Partners or Users
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Disputes between Partners and Users

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including logos, text, and images, is the property of AkiliStay or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
